Obtaining a Driving Licence C+E
The most complete HGV license is C+E. It permits you to drive a lorry that has a semi-trailer or trailer of more than 750 kg.
The instruction for Category CE is an obvious progression from the course that leads to Category C. It includes driving on roads with various traffic density and on training tracks.
Requirements
A driving license is a legal document that shows that a driver has fulfilled the legal requirements to drive. The requirements for driving vary from country to country, but the majority require passing the test and not having a history of traffic violations. The tests are generally divided into theory and practice, although there are some exceptions to this rule. The first step to getting a license is to complete the driving course and pass the theory test. A driver must be physically fit to be able to drive. Certain countries require proof, for example, a medical exam.
The next step is to obtain an Category C license, also known as a the driver's license for cars. This allows you to drive passenger vehicles, trucks and trailers with a maximum weight of 7.5 tonnes. If you already have a Cat C license, you can upgrade to Cat C + E license, which permits you to drive articulated heavy-goods vehicles that weigh up to 44 tons.
You must be at least 21 years old to get a Category C license. Training

The oral and written examinations are designed to be as authentic as is possible. Examiners are able to deny your license under certain conditions. This could be the case the case that you were driving in a manner that was unsafe during the test and/or were involved in a crash; or if you broke any traffic rules, regulations or laws; or the vehicle you were driving was unsafe. In these cases, you will have to retake the test and pay additional fees.
Medical examination
To be allowed to operate a lorry within the EU one must undergo a medical examination. This is performed by a licensed doctor who examines the driver's general health and also their eyesight.
